Summer!
Happy summer! It's time for barbecues, vacations and spending time in the beautiful sunshine. We hope you're enjoying it all. We invite you to review our CC&R's at http://jerichoestates. blogspot.com. There are a few reminders from your friendly neighborhood HOA:
1. With the warmth of summer comes the need for yard maintenance! Please remember to keep your grass mowed and weeds/clover under control. As per the CC&R's, yards must be maintained to our high neighborhood standard to avoid notices and possible violations. These violations will include notices, and if the problem is not resolved, maintenance of your yard by a landscaper and an assessment against your property. So please do your part and keep the neighborhood tidy!
2. If you haven't yet, please remember that all backyards must be installed by this point. Homes with no yard installed will receive violation notices, and could lead to assessments against your property. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the HOA at jerichoestateshoa@gmail.com for ideas and tips. If you do not have a yard installed, please contact the HOA with your plans to avoid a notice.
3. If you are planning on hosting a yard sale, please remember to contact the HOA first for permission. Yard sales invite lots of traffic and overcrowded parking, and can disrupt our neighbors on easement properties. Let us help you plan an event that keeps your neighbors happy!
4. A reminder about any decorative additions to your home: Please remember that if you wish to add storm doors, build flower beds, change outside light fixtures, paint your home a different color, add non-organic flora, etc., you must contact the HOA for approval. Most projects are approved in a very timely manner. According to the rules set forth in the CC&R's, the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) must approve such changes to your home.
5. Please remember, if you are going out of town for an extended period of time, you are welcome to contact the HOA. Alerting neighbors to your absence helps keeps the neighborhood safe. Remember that yard maintenance is still required while you are away.
6. Would you be interested in a fall neighborhood barbecue? Please RSVP to the HOA at jerichoestateshoa@gmail.com. If there is enough interest, we will schedule the event and notify the neighborhood.
7. EVERYONE should contact jerichoestateshoa@gmail.com and submit updated contact information. Email addresses are especially appreciated, as emails are less expensive than postage.
Thank you for keeping our neighborhood beautiful and safe! Keep an eye out for improvements to our signage and along 4th Street, and for notices posted for neighborhood inspections. And as always, please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you might have!

Car Break-In
Two vehicles were broken in to this morning, March 8, between 1:30 am and 7:30 am. They were sitting in the driveway of lot 24 (address 5208). Please take all necessary precautions to secure your vehicles and homes. Please be on the look out for suspicious activity and notify the police and HOA if you see anything abnormal. Thank you for helping us keep Jericho Estates a great place to live.

Traffic Enforcement
At our annual Homeowner's Association meeting we discussed traffic problems in our neighborhood. I found a traffic enforcement page on the city's website. Any resident can fill out a traffic request form to report problems with speeding vehicles, abandoned vehicles (defined as any vehicle parked on the street for 72 hours), and other parking or traffic related problems. The city will follow up on all requests. Please consider reporting your traffic concerns. If the city receives multiple requests from our neighborhood they will surely take notice. Thank you all for helping to make Jericho Estates a great place to live!
